Hi, I’m Katherine.

I believe the best portraits are more than beautiful—they tell a story. Whether I’m photographing a high school senior, a growing family, a beloved pet, or a business owner, my goal is always the same: to create images that capture genuine personality and preserve life’s most meaningful moments.

For more than 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of photographing thousands of clients throughout Northern Illinois. My style is natural, timeless, and relaxed, allowing people to feel comfortable in front of the camera so authentic moments shine through.

I specialize in high school senior portraits because I love celebrating this exciting season of life. Every session is customized to reflect each senior’s personality, interests, and style, creating images that are as unique as they are. Beyond seniors, I also photograph families, children, professional headshots, commercial branding, real estate, and pet portraits.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll usually find me spending time with family and friends, working as a Co-Executive Director of The Haven Network for Perinatal Death and Bereavement, or working in my flower garden. As a photographer, I’m constantly inspired by light, connection, and the little moments that often become the biggest memories.

What To Expect

Every portrait session is designed to be relaxed, enjoyable, and centered around you. I offer one-hour sessions for families and children, as well as 30-minute sessions for those who prefer a shorter experience. Senior portrait sessions are typically longer, allowing plenty of time for multiple outfits and locations that reflect each senior’s unique personality, interests, and style.

Rather than offering one-size-fits-all collections, I believe you should have the flexibility to purchase exactly what you love. That’s why I offer prints and digital images à la carte, giving you the freedom to create a collection that fits your family’s needs.

Photography is always evolving, and so is my approach. I continually refine my techniques, explore new ideas, and stay inspired so I can create portraits that feel natural, timeless, and true to who you are. My goal is to provide not only beautiful images, but an experience you’ll enjoy and memories you’ll cherish for years to come.
