Katherine Pittman

My name is Kathy Pittman. I live in Loves Park, IL with my husband Tim and beloved dog Maddie. We have one son at home and the other is off to college. I am known for my deep love of animals, especially my girl Maddie. I am always taking pictures of her. I would guess that 95% of the pictures on my phone are of Maddie. When I am not taking pictures for clients, I work part time at The Haven Network where I am the Co-Executive Director and the Director of Photography. In my free time I love to be home with my family. 

The Beginning

Like most photographers, I got started by taking pictures of my boys. They were constantly changing and I wanted to capture every second; the good, the bad, and the ugly! I won some awards and it seemed I really had a knack for photography. After much encouragement from family and friends, I decided to become a professional photographer. Over the years I have found my niche with senior photography.  I absolutely love spending time with young adults and I get so excited to talk to them and learn about their hopes and dreams. 

What I Am now

Katherine Pittman Photography is the leading senior portrait photographer in Northern Illinois offering a boutique style photography service, giving each client one-on-one attention and a customized personal experience. While my main focus is  senior portraits, my business continues to grow into other areas as well and my work includes families, milestones, head shots and real estate. I am always staying current with trends in all aspects of my photography and adjusting my focus to give you the best custom experience possible.

What To Expect

I offer a private one hour session for families and children and half hour sessions for some families that need a faster option.  I spend time with you getting to know your wants and needs. Senior sessions are typically a longer session and take place at a location that best suits their personality. I sell prints and digital options à la carte so you can purchase exactly what you need.

Photography is constantly evolving. With the help of Facebook and other social media, clients are more aware of their options and what is available to them. I am constantly striving to learn new techniques and to stay on the cutting edge to bring you the best possible portraits that you will treasure for a life time!
