Planning Your Session

When should I book my senior portraits?

The best time to schedule your senior session is the summer before senior year through early fall. Booking early gives you the best choice of dates and plenty of time to enjoy your images before graduation.

Where will my session take place?

Your location is chosen based on your personality and style. Whether you prefer an urban setting, open fields, nature, or downtown Rockford, we’ll find the perfect location together.

How long is a session?

Senior sessions last up to 90 minutes and begin about 90 minutes before sunset, when the light is soft and flattering.

Getting Ready

What should I wear?

Bring outfits that make you feel confident and comfortable. Most seniors choose a mix of casual and dressy clothing. Solid colors and classic styles photograph beautifully.

How many outfits can I bring?

There is no limit. Most seniors bring 2-3 outfits, including their cap and gown if you have it.

Can I bring my pet or sports equipment?

Absolutely! Pets, musical instruments, sports gear, classic cars, trucks, flowers, and anything that tells your story are always welcome.

I’m nervous about having my picture taken.

You’re not alone! Almost every senior says this at the beginning of their session. Don’t worry about posing—I’ll guide you through everything so your images feel relaxed, natural, and authentic.

Investment

What is the session fee?

The session fee is $150 and includes my time, talent, and professional editing of your images. Prints and digital images are purchased separately, allowing you to order exactly what you want.

After Your Session

When will I receive my gallery?

Your online gallery will be ready within two weeks. There may be some seasonal delays during the months of September-October.

How long will my gallery stay online?

Your gallery will remain available for two weeks. Orders should be submitted before the gallery expires. If your gallery needs to be reposted after it expires, a $25 gallery reactivation fee will apply.

Do you offer digital images?

Yes. Prints, wall art, and digital images are available for purchase after your session.

Weather

What happens if it rains?

If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll simply choose another date. I want your senior portraits to have the best possible light and conditions.
